SLIP RESISTANT
Slip resistant safety footwear is the fastest growing segment of the safety footwear industry. For many employers with wet, oily, and/or greasy floors, it is common sense to require slip resistant safety footwear. Slip related injuries can be extremely costly. No shoe is slip proof, however employers who require slip resistant shoes can reduce worker’s compensation claims.MAXTRAX® OUTSOLE TECHNOLOGY
Our patented MaxTrax® outsole offers superior slip resistance by channeling away liquids like oil, grease, and water. This top-rated rubber outsole provides maximum slip resistance and is also offered on all SR Max brand footwear, as well as select styles from SKECHERS Work, Reebok, Rockport Works, Timberland PRO, and Sanita.Additional Features
- Oil Resistant

Poor support for the whole day, starts out fine, but goes down hill rather quickly in terms of comfort and support

Bought them and in minimal use the back part of the right shoe broke... cheaper shoes lasted me longer.

I ordered a pair of these shoes in an 11.5 Extra Wide, but they appear to run not only small, but the width being extra wide feels like standard narrow shoes. Shoes look good, but I am looking in a different direction next time. Too bad.

As the original poster of the review titled "Great Comfort, Cheap Build" I'd have to say I'm extremely satisfied with this shoe. This shoe held up for 1 year and I finally replaced it at the end of August 2014 when the back of the shoe by the Achilles tendon began to shred. Longest lasting slip resistant shoe I've ever had and extremely comfortable in all working conditions from the office to the dirt pile out back to refinishing floors. Phenomenal shoe overall--I'm on my second pair and couldn't be happier!

When I received these shoes in the mail I was immediately struck by the insole of the shoe being torn at the toe and "bunched" up so I couldn't even get my foot in. I was planning on replacing the insole with a different one anyway but would have been irritated had I not already had an insole on hand. 3 days after wearing the shoe the left sole of the shoe under the heel came free from the bottom at the beginning of my shift. Nothing a little super glue couldn't fix but still an irritant.
After 2 months of the shoe though I'd have to say I'm satisified. The comfort level is stellar and overall they hold up pretty well except for the above mentioned items. I've had a few pairs of SRMAX and these look to be lasting me the longest. My previous two choices, the Skecher's Systemic lasted 3 months each. Overall I am so satisfied with the comfort and durability that I will be ordering an additional pair of this shoe. Hopefully the two problems I had were a fluke!
As for the slip resistance, they are very slippery on water and dust and offer no traction if needing to plant your feet on a floor and push something heavy.
The arch support is moderate at best. I'd suggest a different insole if you have low to no arches like myself and constant heel pain.
Personally I'm more concerned with comfort than anything else and I'm willing to pay the low price point for a cheap build if they leave my feet feeling refreshed after 8 hours.OverallComfortSlip ResistancesArch Support: Moderate arch supportSize: Felt true to sizeWidth: Felt true to widthExtreamly Comfortable and Durable

I have never had a pair of Slip Resistant shoes below $60 that last as long as these. I work 60hr a week in a busy restaurant and these shoes are the only ones that last more than 2months. They are super comfortable and hold their shape for long time. After 5 months I put a pair of inserts in them but the original inserts were a lot better. Moreover, I am not sure but, I was dealing with a foot fungus for 13 years and ever since I wore these shoes, fungus is going away!!! Love them

I have spent my life in retail which means I am standing an average of 9 to 10 hrs. a day five to six days a week for over 40 years. I have tried just about every brand and style of shoe on the market until I tried the SRM 1800 had hadn't found the best! At twice the price this shoe would still be my choice. Right out of the box with no break in they are unbelievable. Their light weight is deceiving when it comes to their durability. They have outlasted brands known for long life. The comfort is best shown in the fact I don't think about them while I am wearing them. If you have spent as much time as I have on your feet you know that is saying a lot. The first pair have already doubled the normal life span of for me and I have ordered a second pair. I plan to retire next year-Please keep this the SRM 1800 in production till then. Price is important but the comfort is the deciding factor for me.
